Understanding CBDA: Benefits, Effects, Side Effects, And What Does It Do?

CBDA Isolate, also known as cannabidiol acid or CBDA is a chemical that cannabis naturally produces and is particularly abundant in freshly harvested hemp plants.

While cannabis contains a wide range of chemical compounds, most research into the benefits of cannabis has concentrated on THC or CBD.

CBDA is a lesser-studied cannabinoid, but it is gaining attention for its potential medical applications in pain, inflammation, cancer, and COVID-19. While CBDA is an acidic precursor of CBD (meaning it can be converted into CBD), it is a distinct chemical with its own properties.

What benefits does CBDA provide?

CBDA research is still in its early stages, with the majority of findings coming from lab and animal studies. These studies have suggested that CBDA For Sale may be beneficial to humans in a variety of ways, but human studies are needed to confirm these findings. Nonetheless, preclinical research indicates that CBDA Isolate has the potential to help with issues such as nausea and vomiting.

  • Pain Seizures Inflammation

  • Anxiety About Breast Cancer

  • COVID-19

While other cannabinoids can help with some of these issues, CBDA has shown particular promise for some of the list's more debilitating conditions.

CBDA outperformed CBD as a potential seizure medication in GW pharmaceuticals research. CBDA has also been shown to suppress COX-2 and reduce breast cancer cell migration, both of which are important factors in the fight against breast cancer.

A recent study discovered CBDA may be able to help prevent COVID-19 infection by binding to the virus' spike protein.

The effects and side effects of CBDA Isolate

CBDA's pharmacology is complicated. CBDA has a low affinity (attraction) to either of the main cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, when compared to THC, CBG, or even CBD. CBDA, on the other hand, acts through multiple receptor systems, including the serotonin system. CBDA Isolate can produce antiemetic (antinausea) effects at 1000x lower doses than neutral CBD by binding to 5-HT1a receptors. It can also bind to a variety of TRP, PPAR, and PPAR receptors. CBDA has also been shown to inhibit COX enzymes, which are inhibited by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen and aspirin.

We don't know much about CBDA's side effects due to a lack of human studies, but it's possible that it interacts with how other drugs are metabolized, similar to CBD. Before combining CBDA with other medications, consult your doctor.

CBD versus CBDA

CBDA is CBD's acidic precursor. This means that CBD always begins as CBDA and then transforms into CBD. This is known as decarboxylation, and it can occur slowly with exposure to light or oxygen, or quickly with exposure to heat.

The method is best known for converting non-psychoactive THCa into psychoactive THC. THCa is abundant in cannabis and is converted to THC when it is heated. CBDA Isolate (which is also found in cannabis) is more abundant in hemp or 'high CBD' strains of cannabis.

Despite their slight chemical differences, CBD and CBDA have many potential medical benefits in common, including the reduction of pain, inflammation, seizures, cancer, anxiety, and nausea. Given CBD's well-established role in the treatment of seizure disorders in children, there is considerable interest in the role of CBDA For Sale in the treatment of seizures, with early animal models showing great promise.

CBDA vs. CBGa

CBDA is derived from cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), in the same way that CBD is. CBGA, also known as "the mother of all cannabinoids," is the acidic base precursor to all cannabinoids. It can be converted into CBG as well as other acidic precursors such as CBDA and THCa.

CBDA and CBGa have a low affinity for CB1 and CB2 receptors, interact with many of the same TRPs and PPARs, and have both been shown to have the potential to help prevent COVID-19.

Is CBDA psychoactive?

CBDA Isolate, like CBD, does not appear to produce a high feeling. While there is little research on its effects in humans, none of it suggests it will have this type of disorienting or elating psychoactive effect. Nonetheless, it, like CBD, has the potential to have psychoactive effects such as anxiety reduction. So, while it is psychoactive, it has no adverse effects.

What CBDA products are currently on the market?

CBDA is abundant in almost all freshly harvested hemp or 'high CBD' cannabis strains. However, the most important factor in getting CBDA into your system is to consume it without heating it. This means that no cannabis should be smoked, vaporized, or cooked. One popular way to get CBDA is to juice raw cannabis or hemp leaves, but it is difficult to always have access to fresh leaves.

Tinctures or capsules are frequently the most convenient way to consume CBDA. Look for products that have high levels of CBDA in their test results and do not require heating. These are some examples:

  • Tinctures

  • Gummies

  • Other delectables

  • Capsules and pills

  • Rosin

  • Certain extracts are produced without the use of heat.

  • Oil

Keep in mind that when taking a CBDA For Sale tincture/oil by mouth, the product may cause a bitter taste or a burning/tingling sensation in the mouth. This is a well-known effect of CBDA Isolate (and occasionally CBD), and it is most likely related to its actions on TRP ion channels in the mouth and throat.
